Display Network and Search Network

Know the difference between Display Network and Search Network

People often go for PPC ads but they really don't know what is a display network & what is a search network. So they ads might get displayed in the ad results for a particular query but there is a possibility that they might lose 2% to 5% of their conversation rate just because they didn't knew what is the difference between a display network & a Search network.

So a search network is simply the Google search which we use everyday in our day to day life.In search network whenever a user searches for a particular keyword the relevant ads get displayed in the sponsored ads column. So when you are going to place your ads in a search network be careful & place those keywords in your ads title & description. So you might get your required audience.

Negative keyword should also be taken into picture while choosing your keywords. Negative keyword is a keyword for which you don't want your ad to appear in the search result. For example if you are selling some product at some price & if your ad appears when a users types free products then that user will not click on your ad & your ad will get wasted. So be sure about the keywords you use in your ads when you go for search network.

Display network is a network in which your ads appear on specific website generally related to the content of that website. If a website is related to spreadsheet or excel then that website will display ads related to excel or spreadsheet only. While choosing a site for your display network you must choose which site to choose although Google gives you a number of site to choose from but to get a good conversion rate you must choose those site which you think the readers from those site will show interest in your ads for example you might not place an ad on Italian website when your business is limited to India only.
